Introduction

Romantic Movement is a literary revelation against the Neo-classical literature of the eighteenth century. It was launched through Lyrical Ballad which is written jointly by William Wordsworth and ST Coleridge and published in 1798. Romanticism or the Romantic Movement brings a change in the literary era.

Important features of the Romantic Movement

In this movement, romantic poets like Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelly, Keats, etc. bring some unique features which is totally opposite from the Neo-Classical period such as:

  • Love for nature and beauty
  • A strong feeling for common people
  • Practicality regarding shortness of life
