Hidden place of Cabot’s money
When Cabot comes to know the story of killing the son, he has lost his interest in the farm. He does not want to stay here. He wants to go to California. Then, he sings a song for the voyage and indicates the hidden place of his money. He hides his money under the floor-board.
The result of the money
When he removes the board, he finds that the bag of money missing. He asks Eben:
“So, you did steal my money!”
Eben replies:
“I gave it to Simeon and Peter and their share of the farm. They needed money to pay for their voyage to California and I wanted to become the sole owner of the farm.”
These lines discuss the result of the money.
Conclusion
To sum up, it is clear that the money of Cabot has stolen by Eben. The bag of the money was under the floor-board.
