The flute – players
On the Urn, there is a picture of the flute- players. They are playing wild and ecstatic music on their flutes. Thus music may be heard only by imagination.
The lovers
A picture of lovers was depicted on the Urn who were pursuing the unwilling maidens.
A fair youth
There is a picture of a fair youth who was singing a song under the trees.
A bold lover
A bold lover is curved at the point of kissing his beloved.
A sacrificial procession
And there is a picture of a sacrificial procession leading a heifer to some green alter to be sacrificed.
